Sampradhaya Offers Classes for Ages 4+ in Carnatic Vocal, Bhajans, Violin and Keyboard.We teach Swara lessons, Varnams, Bhajans and Keerthana’s.  The students are trained on songs from languages Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Sanskrit depending on their language of interest and mother tongue.

 Mon – Fri 6.30 PM – 8 PM

Weekends – 8 AM-12 Noon & 2 PM – 5 PM

Teacher’s Profile

Jayashree Venkatesh was trained in Carnatic vocal from the age of 7 from her mother Shantha Visvanathan, disciple of Alathur Brothers. She continued her training with Smt.Savithri Sathyamurthy (Guru of Sri. Unni Krishnan) and from Smt.Nithyasree Mahadevan. She has accompanied Smt. Nithyasree in a number of concerts. Jayashree has been teaching carnatic vocal lessons in Chicago area since 2000.

Venkatesh Padmanabhan has learnt violin from R.K.Venkatrama Sastrigal, leading accompanist for Semmangudi and MS. Even though he had no formal training in key board he plays it well out of self interest, practice and swaram knowledge. He is also a Carnatic Vocalist and has received lots of appreciation from leading artistes such as Maharajapuram Santhanam.
